Fat And Ugly

sad Ever sence I got married 18 yrs ago and had my daughter. My husband has called me names like elephant ape or something like that. I have felt fat and ugly. I don't know if I can make my self look pretty or lose weight. I know I need to lose weight because of my high blood pressure. but i don't think I have the courage or the willpower to do it.

One of the hardest things to do is seeing yourself as you really are. As humans we tend to let the opinions of others color the way we see ourselves. It is a hard thing to break away from, but I believe it is essential to the well-being of a person's soul. Just as it is needed to train your body to learn new exercises, it is also needed to re-train yourself to see who you are and who you want to be. I am still working on this myself *grins*, and I will be all my life. We are constantly bombarded by opinions and attitudes of others. Some are from strangers - easy to disregard because they don't know us. Others are from those we know, respect, and love - much harder to combat. Like exercise you must train your mind every day by reminding yourself of the good things about you. Looking for positive things can be a challenge at first, but it gets easier as time goes by. In my opinion true beauty comes from the soul. What is inside of you will shine through and show itself.

It takes alot of wanting and believing in yourself. I gained 50lbs when I had my second son. I used Weight Watchers and P90X to lose it. I am finally back down to my original pre-kids weight. YOU CAN DO IT!! Do it for you and no one else. I say this because I found that when I worked out and tracked my food with the intentions of keeping others happy, I gave up easier when they didn't compliment me or notice. If you try to lose the weight for your husband and he lets you down then you will feel like you are failing. But if you do it for you and you alone...you will find you have more strength to reach the goals. <br />
