Another Birthday And Another Round Of Disappointment...

Okay, it seriously feels like all of my birthdays have been lousy since I turned twelve...

12 yrs old: Got to have tons of friends (boys and girls) over for a pool party, but one girl forgot her suit, so all of the girls (including me) had to sit in my room while all the boys got to swim. My family said it would be inconsiderate to call the girl's mom and ask her to bring her suit over. Then, a friend of mine complained about my dad while we were sitting around in my room, and Dad overheard. He called me into the hallway to yell at me about it and then sent all of the girls home. So I ended up sitting in my room, by myself, while all the boys got to swim and play, and I wasn't even allowed to cut my own birthday cake...

13 yrs old: My family decided to go out of town to visit my cousin (whose birthday in the day before mine, but he's 2 years younger) and drag me along. They had all of his friends over to his house, and he got a cake, presents, etc... I got absolutely nothing... And when we got back home almost two weeks later, my best friend's mom wanted to take me out for my birthday since she knew I didn't get anything, but I was grounded for "pouting" at my cousin's birthday.

14 yrs old: I got to have two friends sleep over... No cake, no loud music allowed, no phone calls unless it was to a parent, no gifts, and I had to beg and plead just to have two friends over. A week later, my friend's birthday-slumber party, and I wasn't allowed to go.

15 yrs old: A joint birthday party/cake with my aforementioned younger cousin. His friends were allowed over, none of mine.

16-20 yrs old: Nothing.... Not even a card... And barely a word of Happy Birthday from anyone in my family.

21: Got drunk... And got left behind at the bar with a $500 tab! Not $50... Five hundred!!!

22: Nothing (no cards, wishes, etc)

23: Had three friends over (Dad was out of town and siad it was okay) Three friends decide to form a love triangle, and cause all kinds of drama... Ended up kicking them out because they were inconsiderate houseguests, not including me in the movie-picking, and causing too much friggin' drama...

24: Hasn't happened yet, but I'm not holding out any hope for a great birthday...

I am so sorry! No one deserves that. and I really hope you have great birthdays from here on out!! *Just going to vent a little* I have one of those inconvenient birthdays where everything happens, other peoples family vacations, reunions, dances, ect. and this year half my friends are going to a 1d concert -_- my mom is going out of town my best friend will be at disney for a race of some sort and i will not have a party, and moneys really tight (well when it comes to me) so no presnts. but my brother can go to Miami and my other brother can get, well anything!! It prolly sounds silly but I actually like my birthday but every year something comes up. :/

WTF! Wow how folks can be so thoughtless is beyond me....anyway HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I just had mine on the 7th a week ago, it' could have been better too. I am not a big fan of them anyway, nor holidays, just me and my son out here, the rest of my family is almost 3000 away.

Mine's not until April, but I saw this thread and it let me vent...

I don't expect people to make a huge deal out of my birthday, but simply saying Happy Birthday goes a long way...

My family has always made a huge deal out of my brother's and cousins' birthdays... But not mine...

That was not fair of them....anyway Have a good weekend see you around here on EP :)
