Yet I'm learning to start by trusting feelings and intuition, then move on to applying gobs of analysis to check for any major issues before making significant decisions. I can usually explain things more than one way, so I can tell that analysis is limited in it's scope, even if it's precision is much higher than feelings and intuition. I think of it like a debugging process - I'm always examining, and thus, retraining, my unconscious mind so that I can trust it more. I'm in software / network engineering and get a lot of WTF moments from more the more typical linear thinkers who can't understand how I can keep track of so much at once (I don't do it consciously or with perfect precision!).
