It Matters!

I remember when I was learning to read and write, hearing about oral histories, stories that were told about things before reading and writing were invented, and how after that culture or people died, their stories were lost along with them.
I was saddened by that, thinking of all the stories I'd never get to hear. Then my mom dragged me kicking and screaming into the world of reading, and I'm so thankful for it. If you can read, you can learn about anythin you take a fancy to. You are not restricted by your lack of knowledge, and I really think that reading opens doors.
Nowadays, I love to read, and I wish more people did. I hate when I hear people say, "Man, I don't like to read. It's too hard." All I gotta say to that is, if you are a 'normal' (having no significant physical, mental, or organic disorders), all it takes is a little practice. Read! Please read!!
