Death Moon

Merry Meet all on this night of the Death Moon. This is the 2nd Full Moon after Winter Solstice. The winter has been long and food has been scarce. Little or no new green food has grown in months.

We humans now have our food shipped in from the other side of the Earth where it is high summer, early harvest, but for our ancestors and our woodland animal friends that is an impossible luxury. For those living on the land this is the harshest time of the year, a time when the weak don't make it until spring.

Tonight under the Full Moon put an extra log on the fire, dance an extra dance of life and joy for great ships and jet airplanes that bring bounty from across the Earth, and put something out for the woodland friends.

May the Lord and Lady bless your dance of life under the Death Moon.
