I've had the experience of something strange happening to me. To this day I am not sure what it is. I know that there were multiple times when I was laying in bed at night while in my sleep, I felt as though a bubble was coming up from the bed into my back. It was very uncomfortable, it even seemed that if the bubble or whatever force it was were to keep growing that it may just push me off of the bed. I also know that while this was taking place I was paralyzed. Through effort, I managed to awake myself and gain physical control over my body again. I wondered to myself if this was me under some attack by a demon or some entity that was making an effort to possess my physical body. I remember when I was in college and it was early in the morning. I had class and was having trouble getting out of bed. As I laid there, I decided I was just going to forget class and stay in bed and when I cared to get up, I would. It was in that instance when someone slapped my leg causing me to jolt. I looked around in some confusion and then proceeded to get dressed and go to class. Nothing like this has happened since that moment. There was a time when I had a night shift job and slept during the day. While sleeping, I do remember someone rubbing my back. This took place multiple times. All I know was that it felt great. Perhaps this was an angel. From my experience, angels are people with one exception that makes them very diverse from us and that is they are highly evolved creatures. Society's understanding of angels is equivlant to a third grader's understanding of calculus. Ignorance simply prevales for some people. It is true that we are all ignorant, just about diverse things. We all know in part, therefor when we come together we are stronger than ever because we compensate each others lack of understanding and weaknesses. Perhaps it is through our ignorance that we realize just how much we need each other as members of the human race. This is a very powerful realization and reality check for many. The Immortals is one movie that perhaps best illistrates angels. They are immortal beings that have great power. They are gods and goddesses. Just with the mythological greek version of gods, there is the supreme commander. In greek mythology that was Zeus. In the context of the neatherworld, that would be god. As to how god came into power is unknown. The greek mythology states very clearly how Zeus came into power. He overthrew his father and his fellow Titans with the help of his siblings, hundred handers (different class of Titans). From there, he drew lots with his two other brothers. It was a way to divide the spoils of war. Zeus became the master of the sky, Poseiden became the master of the seas and Hades became the master of the underworld. Zeus was known as the highest of these gods, therefor the king of the gods. I think religion downplays the supernatural. A religious person will ignore the facts because their biases prevents them from absorbing any new information. This explains why religious people are very ignorant. There is a difference between love and effection. To have the effection of an angel (goddess) is a wholesome experience. I am not even sure whom placed the word angel on such creatures. Words are labels, all words are. Words do not always accurately represent what they are describing. We as humans have a need to put a label on everything. Religious people are very much so this way. Those that claim to be muslim, christian, etc. I think it is amusing. Ignorance at its finest. It is written in the scripture that there was a time when divine beings from the neatherworld came into this physical world to mate with women. The result is that a new race of giant human beings were born. Some of these perhaps had additional attributes. Half god and half man is also known in greek mythology as a demi-god. Unlike an original god, a demi-god can suffer physical death but not eternal death. Gods came before man, not the other way around. As to whom or if anyone came before them is another very interesting ideal. Who came before the Titans in greek mythology and before them also. Who or what came before god of the neatherworld. Someone or something had to have created god. I doubt that he just simply came to be. Some force or some entity or something or someone must have had come before him or it or her and something had to come before that also and so on. I say he or she or it because who is to say that god is a male or a female or an it. What or who is god. Is god the only god or is there other gods. Just as in greek mythology, there were multiple gods but the one that was worshipped the most was Zeus. On ancient artifacts, it is written in greek language stating Zeus the highest. Even though there was an awareness that multiple gods perhaps existed, the one known as Zeus was seen as the supreme and most revered. I think religion does not even equal the tip of the iceburg in relation to the size and scope of the universe. Religion is from my viewpoint a way for mankind to make an effort to compensate for our ignorance. The same with a crippled person and a crutch. In truth, compensate is a relative term. Religion does not even serve that purpose. Ignorance simply means a lack of understanding. It does not mean one is stupid. Just ignorant.
