Along For The Ride

It's easy to lose yourself in the moment. Especially when that moment is enhanced with drugs. Some of these drugs can turn a moment into weeks, and take your friends along for the ride too. So when you feel like it's time to quit who do you turn to.  Who can you spend your time with if all your friends are F**ked up? It's hard to find your way back to your previous idea of what a normal day is!

I try to make positive actions. I grabbed my friend out for a game of tennis today. He lives in a 24/7 party house. Our other friend tried to persuade us to party with him as the alternate. It's a good thing I'm not as easily influenced because it was an inviting offer. But did it ever feel great to be sober and active and level headed. It didn't matter who won the 10 games of tennis because we both won the battle today!

Well I have no friends because I have had to make the choice several times. Choose drugs and friends or choose me. In the end I chose me. I am married and have 2 kids but other than that, have no friends. Everyone I knew is in jail, or just wasting their life away. Looking at it now I like where I am today but wonder why it was me that made it here and not them. I don't know how old you are but howlong you surround yourself with that is only up to you.

Omg girl I can relate. Recently after a week vacation I come home to find my only 2 friends spun on meth, cranky, in denial, ect.. I just had to drop them. I went on vacation to see old friends and now that im home I feel like I have none. Everyone is on drugs it seems.
