Here We Go Again

Is there no one in Washington who pays their taxes the way they should? It is no wonder the government wants more from us. We pay more so that the one's in charge don't have to pay theirs.

Just think, the more of these that get the "it's ok" tap the more of them that will follow the lead. But you can sure bet, if you owe taxes and don't pay them on time you will be raked over the coals and squeezed till every penny and then some is paid in full.

Another Obama Nominee Has Tax Troubles

Larrey Anderson
The list gets longer. Ron Kirk, Obama’s nominee for U.S. Trade Representative, owes some $10,000 in back taxes. According to the Dallas/Fort Worth Fox News channel:

Ron Kirk, nominated as U.S. Trade Representative in the Obama administration, owes an estimated $10,000 in back taxes from earlier in the decade and has agreed to make his payments, the Senate Finance Committee said Monday.

Despite the error, Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, issued a statement calling Kirk "the right person for this job," and said he would attempt to have the nomination moved through the panel quickly.

Did you read that last sentence? Democrat senators in charge of vetting Obama’s nominees simply don’t care if the nominees pay their taxes. The nomination process, under this Democrat Senate, is blatantly immoral and borderline criminal. If this is politics as usual in America … then America is finished as a nation of laws.

you may be right about the honor least for the last 60 yrs. or so. as for the tax is one thing to make an error, quite another to underestimate your income by tens of thousand of dollars. i have been audited many times and they nit pick you to death. never did I under report the money these folks are.

If they have failed to pay their taxes on time and they are being considered for a federal position, they should be disqualified.
There is no honor or integrity in politics anymore and this issue just breeds more distrust of Washington.

yes, it happens on both sides and it needs to stop. if someone is going to run for office they should go through an IRS audit first.

Does anyone here realize that these tax problems are revealed as part of an extensive continual vetting process? Do you really think that Republican nominees all pay every tax they are suppose to pay? Please! They just don't get caught because their party considers finances as a private matter so don't peek under the covers for their nominees when they are the party in power. Republican nominees are much more likely to be called out on sexual scandals, because social morals are more important for them.

He falls into that Grey area.....I mean...Hey...they know all of the loop holes....Just do not really care to use them....ANd that is a good thing......NOT!!!!!

I read that this morning. Either obama has no experience in screening his nominees, or he just doesn't care.
I think his motto is that of the late Leona Helmsley: "taxes are for the little people"
