Hi I have been diagnosed as Bi-Polar for 21 years, if you want to knwo anything just ask and I reply.

I am bi-polar too. I have been through a lot of rough situations in my life time. It is hard people to understand what we go through everyday. working on keeping our emotion in tacked. I know I am a surivor tho and I am going to keep surviving. I am now getting to stand up for myself and not let people use and abuse me anymore. I took a class several yeas ago on how to deal with my emotion and when to use them when needed. It is hard and I know you can work through it too. Be kind to others but don't allow them to walk over you stand up to them and they will back down. Well that is all for now. GG

Well, I'll respond to yours, jkitten77. It can get worse. It's generally chronic. Mine is depressive but I have episodes of mania every once in a while. Usually over summer... My symptoms are like etreme mood swing, Im generally not very social, and I'm a "cutter."<br />
<br />
But I'm on meds and that has helped tremendously. <br />
<br />
I personally didn't want to see anyone about it, but after I tried to commit suicide, my boyfriend forced me to go see a therapist. <br />
<br />
It's a scary condition that is in truth, hard to control, but with the right help and having people that care, you can conquer it :)

I was diagnosed a little over a year with bipolar, a mood disorder and axiety, yeah fun ! I have been reading and struggling with the ups and downs of meds and dealing with this. Its scary because I don't know if it can get worse. Are you manic? What have your symptoms been? What made you see someone to find this out? Like to talk, I dont know anyone with this so maybe I can help you as well.

I have this too. Mine is with severe depression. Which do you lean more towards- mania or depression? just wondering :)<br />

message me if you want to get any more personal than this, please :)
