Afro Squirrel?

At 52, I've seen more than my share of sadness. One thing that makes my mother happy is her birds. (For those who don't know, I live with and care for my parents.) We have a problem with 'coons. They get in the garbage, rip down the bird feeders and gererally make my mother mad. I can't do what comes naturally, shoot the damned things, so I had to figure a way to deter them. A battery powered bug zapper gave its life to put 10,000 volts into the bird feeder. Doesn't bother the birds, but I know it works. This morning a squirrel came sneeking across the yard and climbed the poll to the feeder. I watched, trying not to laugh as the little **** reached out for the feeder. ZAP!!!!! The squirrel trippled in size, hit the ground running and I ain't seen it since. I know that squirrel will never come near my bird feeders again. I wish people were that easy to train.  My mother said, "OH, the poor squirrel". I can't win. At least my coyote loves me.

Oh, and thanks to my new fans. I don't know why, but you are appreciated.
