Offering Advice, Support And A Virtual Shoulder

I have depression. I've had it since my early 20s and have to address it and try to live with it as best I can. At present I'm on an upward climb: have made many lifestyle changes that have (I hope) helped with combating this awful illness. One way of helping me deal with my illness is to share my experiences with other, and give a friendly ear to those people that may want to talk about their experiences.

If anyone wants to talk about their experiences to me, ask advice on my coping strategies, or just generally have a good old rant about things all mental health-related, please feel free to contact me.

I'm trying to break down the stigma surrounding depression and depressive illnesses, and talking about it using various fora is one tool to help with that. Any discussions are welcome, providing people are respectful of others' opinions and beliefs and are willing to engage in an open and friendly manner.

My next story will be the story of my depression and how I got to where I am today.

**Take each day as it comes, and stop to smell the roses every so often. Humanity is a beautiful and rare evolutionary occurrence: be amazed and humbled at that. **
