I was prescribed Celexa for my depression and my family has scared me out of taking it. They told me all these awful things that will happen to me. I am scared about the side affects and the things that will happen to me if I start taking them. What should I do? Has anyone had experience here?

Take the Celexa. Please. It is the difference between life and no-life.

A lot of medications have side effects, not just ones for depression. Don't let anyone scare you out of taking your medication; however, pay close attention to how you're feeling when you take it. Talk to your doctor immediately if you start having any major side effects. I've tried several anti-depressants, Celexa included. Some have worked better than others, and some I have had to stop taking because of side effects. It's just important to be honest with your doctor and tell them everything about how you're feeling. You just have to find what works for you. In my opinion though, it is definitely worth trying. Finding the right anti-depressant can make a huge, positive difference in your life.

Thanks you!
