WHY Do I Feel Sad Inside

I HAVE SUFFERED FROM DEPRESSED FROM AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. I CAN BE EXTREMELY HAPPY AND THEN THE NEXT DAY EXTREMELY DOWN. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY I AM LIKE THIS I HAVE A LOVING CARING HUSBAND AND FAMILY AND HAVE BEAUTIFUL KIDS AND A LOVELY HOME. SO WHY????. I CONSTANTLY FEEL A SADNESS INSIDE ME WHICH NEVER SEEMS TO GO AWAY. I ALWAYS FEEL DISCONTENT WITH MYSELF AND LIFE AND FEEL SOMETIMES IT MIGHT BE EASIER IF I WASN'T HERE. I'M SCARED OF  MY CHILDREN PICKING UP ON MY DEPRESSION AND THEN DEVELOPING IT THEMSELVES. I HAVE HAD NUMERUS DRAMATIC INCIDENTS IN MY LIFE BUT FEEL THAT I SHOULD GET OVER THEM AND MOVE ON BUT I CAN'T SEEMS TO. I ATTEND COUNSELLING AND I'M IMPROVING EVERYDAY BUT TO BE HONEST THE SADNEST I FEEL WILL ALWAYS BE THERE.

I also feel sadness is apart of me since the divorce, no matter how hard i tried to get rid of this feeling, but the sadness comes back to me very soon. It seems the word of happiness is no longer in my dictionary

Your half way there, you have opened up about your problems and your accepting help. Most people dont even get that far. Tomorrow is another day. Take care.

i think we all carry a little sadness with us. sometimes its just hard to pinpoint the reason behind it. maybe you should ask to have your hormones checked to see if there is some kind of inbalance going on. also, you might have a bit of bi-polarness. its good that you are seeing someone and talking to them about your feelings. sometimes when i'm feeling down, i'll write about it and when i'm done, i usually feel better. if not, i try to keep myself busy by house cleaning. that way, if you are occupied with doing something, it will help keep the sadness at bay. try doing chores with music on.
