Down the Rabbit Hole

My issue with depression and anxiety have been with me for so long that I can't remember not feeling this way. I started treatment after high school after withdrawing from the Univerity I was going to at the time. After some time off it seemed to lay dormant, but it's never very long. I have withdrawn from various universities 3 times. I have no job right now, I'm not in school, all I do is go to appointments with my Psychiatrist and Therapist. I've tried dozens of anti-depressants that work for a while, but then just stop.

I just want it all to STOP.

Hello, I'm much older than you, but I can sure relate to what you sre going through! I believe that I have been depressed ever since I was a teen ager!
I finally went to a councerlor when I was in my 30's, and she told me that depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain.
She put mr on Prozac, andI couldn't believe the differance it made!
I still have times when I feel down, but it doesn't last as long. Depression runs in my family.
The only advice that I can offer you, is not to give up! Keep searching for a good therapest until you find one that you can relate too.

I wish you well, and hope that you can find the help that you need!!!
Maybe a good idea to keep a journal of your daily thoughts, that way, you can track your progress, and keep track of what helps, and what doesn't.

Believe in yourself!
Feel free to write anytime,
I wish I could give you some good advice or something. For myself, I've been very fortunate to have only 2 medications, my current one for I think 8 years now. Also have had a couple good therapists. But I'm not "cured" and though I still struggle I think getting older and working through a lot of stuff has helped and I really like myself now (most of the time).
Don't give up, keep putting in the effort -- believe you are worth it. Maybe this effort - going to therapy, etc., IS your job right now.
