I Do Not Want to Retreat Into a Shell.........................

A personal story in the experience: I Battle Depression

"The ceiling fan goes round and round and makes the ticking noises just like  a clock left long ago...............left behind in history.................

of time lost and never re-gained......seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, years...............................     of decades........    of centuries............    of an era............    of generations....................

in trade for digital, soundless, mindless noise to the silence and  the lone click, clicking and the tick, tick, ticking of the ceiling fan turning, turning, turning, turning

and the drops of rain begin to pitter-patter on the window pane

and the drops of pain run down my cheek!"

I do not wish to be unresponsive!

Classy

*I am such a freak lol*
Well, that was beautiful Description and such beautiful meaning.
You should write more often than you normally do, keep onto the happiness of knowing someone likes your Poems or Stories, anything. To keep that little shimmer of light. Hope. Happiness. Love. its all there, just hiding.

Bronie is right.

That posting was poetic prose, if it must be classified!

That was stunning writing, whatever genre you call it! I could almost hear the ticking...and I SO recognized the emotion behind it. Beautiful work!
