I'm Kicking Depression Out Of My Life
I was always a very shy person, and was picked on by students at school. I was always very lonely and miserable. The depression really hit home around 18 years old. I found out I was anemic after I passed out on the floor.
Since then, I couldn't hold a job, and I am weak all of the time, and have constant aches and pains in different parts of my body. On top of all of that, we've struggled financially for at least 3-4 years on the verge of getting evicted from every place we lived.
There are still times that I feel the overwhelming feeling of depression, like life is too much to handle, but I'm learning to trust in God by giving it all to Him.
Rather than sitting around constantly crying and focusing on my problems, I've decided to transfer all that depressing energy into something positive.
Since I already have this strong passion for people, I decided to take a ride on the encouraging train by reaching out to others in many ways.
Some people say I have a sense of humor because I'm always trying to make them laugh.
I also do this to take my mind off my own problems. For me it's the best medicine ever! I'm always looking for friends to communicate with, whether it's through phone, email or paper letter.
I grew up without friends, so it means a lot to me to meet new friends that understands me and what I'm going through.
So with all that said, I truly can't wait to connect with everyone here. It's a pleasure to be here with you.

Posted Nov 5th, 2009 at 3:32AM Welcome onboard! and I think you are doing the right thing. Reaching out and making friends will certainly take away a lot of the loneliness and the depressing feeling from daily life pressures. Socialising outside in reality can also help boost the natural good feeling. Looking at smiling faces and hearing sounds of laughter from others very often infectiously provoke a happy and peaceful feeling. Wishing you a great day!
Posted Nov 7th, 2009 at 9:13PM Are we the same person? My anemia always caused me to pass out and gave me low energy and depression. I've been making an effort to control it and since then my life has been going better. It's ******. It's not the worse thing in the world, but it still sucks to be deprived of energy. Circumstances in my life have brought me to a bad place in life, but I'm working on being in a happier place as well. If you ever want to chat, just send me a message!
