Two Parts Of Me

THERE ARE TWO BIG PARTS OF ME THAT ARE ALMOST CONSTANTLY IN CONFLICT.

THERE IS THE POSITIVE, DETERMINED SIDE OF ME...

AND...

THERE IS THE NEGATIVE, WHY BOTHER SIDE OF ME...

THEY CONSTANTLY BATTLE ONE ANOTHER, BECAUSE SOMETIMES...WELL, QUITE OFTEN ACTUALLY, WHEN I FEEL LIKE I'M MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND MAKING PROGRESS, SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I MADE THE WRONG DECISION AND AM DOING THE WRONG THING.

I AM REALLY TRYING TO MAKE 2010 MY YEAR, AND NOT LISTEN TO SO MANY OUTSIDE VOICES.

THEY MEAN WELL, BUT...

TOO MUCH NOISE....TOO MANY OPINIONS...

AND THEN I FEEL BAD WHEN I COMPLAIN, BECAUSE MY PROBLEMS ARE NOTHING COMPARED TO THE PROBLEMS OF OTHERS.

I GUESS THAT IS HUMAN NATURE, BUT HUMAN NATURE ISN'T ALWAYS RIGHT-CLEARLY...

I wouldn't call it 'human nature' - more like childhood trauma.
I'd offer this as a route to happiness aside from therapy
google: Barry Neil Kaufman to learn how

It is impossible to eliminate the negative side of you. Actually, it's not very healthy. It's better to acknowledge the dark side, just as you would acknowledge your emotions. But never try to rationalize away your emotions. If that's what you feel, then it's absolutely legitimate to you. Remember, reality is subjective, and it's your own, unique experience. Learn to accept the dark side, acknowledge and work through your emotions, and remember that you belong to you and no one else. At the end of the day, you answer to no one but yourself.

Your problems are yours so obviously they matter more for you. Don't be pressured. Both sides of you are you. The negative side is just a reaction of some injustice. Just be a judge who makes logical decisions that are best for you.

I'd personally like to eliminate that negative side of me altogether. I know it's impossible so this year I'm just striving to keep balance.
