Lifelong Bedwetter

I have always been a bedwetter and for some unknown reason I have never grown out of it and have always felt that bit different to other people and friends because it is a condition that no one really wants to talk about, it's so embarrasing. My teenage years were the worst when I was checked out by my doctor and the hospital and there was nothing physical wrong with me and medication was prescribed but didn't make any difference and I also had a buzzer alarm on my bed to wake me up when I started to wet to get me into a habit of waking before I start wetting the bed, but it was not successful, so since then I have I have come to terms with my bedwetting and have been a bedwetter ever since then waking up to a wet or damp bed five or six mornings a week. I have a traditional rubber bed sheet beween the mattress and the bottom sheet which measures one square metre and this does help to keep the mattress dryer without it becoming soaked right through, so if there are any of you bedwetters that would like to reply to me then a problem shared is a problem solved so itis said.

just wear nappies and enjoy

I think accepting it is the best course of action. I don't know why people get so hung up about bedwetting.

YOU ARE YOUNG I'M59 AND STILL WET THE BED TRIED THE BUZZER TOO THE DOCTORS I DON'T THINK THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE I'VE SEEN DOZENS OF DOCTORNO TWO ARE THE SAME THEY ALLSAY SOMETHING DIFFERENT I'VE STOPPED WASTING MONEY AND LEARNED TO EXCEPT THE THAT I AM A BEDWETTER

Why don't ypu have a fitted plastic sheet on your bed then the matteras won't get wet.

Thanks for your comments. It has always been a problem trying to disguise it from other people due to the embarrassment of it all but after all these years it does`nt bother me anymore and I am quite use to a wet bed most mornings and having to air my bed out including the mattress which never really dries out completely this time of year when I tend to flood over the edge of my rubber sheet.

I know just how you feel. I have always wet my bed and agree it isn't something most people want to talk about. I have a terry towelling water proof backed protector on my bed which really helps keep me comfortable and the bed protected.
I am happy to talk on here to anyone and agree a bit of support goes a long way.
It is a fact of life that some adult will always wet the bed. I don't know why there is such a stigma to it. If you practice good personal hygene, and protect your bed it's not a big deal. I can think of a lot worse conditions.
