Sending Out a SOS

Help! I'm trapped in an office where I'm surrounded by women who do nothing but complain. They don't just say it, they SHRIEK about it. I'm already getting a headache and it's not 9 am yet. What the hell is wrong with these people??? Not everything in life is some frickin tragedy.

Doesn't anybody remember how to laugh & have a good time?

Seriously, if anybody knows where I can get some chill pills to contaminate the water supply here, I will gladly pay them to send them FED EX.

Also, somebody needs to notify Russell Crowe ASAP. I need rescuing dammit!

Wow, I can relate. I just worked my externship in an office much like that. Everything was a big deal and the world was ending. It definitely made me feel angry and stressed with dealing with this person. I found out later at graduation that she had a heart attack. I wasn't surprised with her inability to chill out. It was only 1 month but it felt like eternity working with her. P.S. the other gal in the office quit earlier and I am wondering if it had anything to do with her.

Glad you enjoyed it

Funniest thing I've read on EP.

Meg...chocolate could never hurt :)

LMAO how about some chocolates? That would work wouldn't? that you???? In a Lionel Ritchie costume? Oh my....

Kitten, you got is too short to waste with bitching.
Thanks for commenting. : )
User, I know you are correct about that. When I stand around and engage in a gripe session with them, we all get along quite well. I just find such negativity toxic so I prefer to avoid it when I can. Thanks for the comment. : )

Maybe they are negative because you are positive.People don't like it when someone is happier than them... Try this: start complaining too about something and see what happens.......Make it a science project of sorts.

Tweety, either happy pills or we need to start drinking here. ; )

Calla, I could manage with Hugh, I suppose. Just don't tell Russell. haha! : )

Junie, Russell is late..... (tapping foot here)

Frito, I drown out as much as possible with music from the radio. I also once came very close to walking into the men's restroom but I wasn't trying to get away from anyone...oh well, that's another days story. ; )

Poor Salar, must have it 3 times as bad as me. : )

If complaining was an Olympic event some in my office would be gold medal contenders !!!!

Tough situation...any chance you can get away with wearing ear plugs for a while? Are you allowed to listen to your own music? Anything to drown out the negativity!! I was once trying to get away from a chronic complainer...was a little disoriented in my flight...walked into the men's room by only consolation was she followed me in..still talking. LOL

Contacted Mr Crowe, he's coming to pick you up come lunch hour :)

I've been lamenting about my work place lately but your story made me realize I have a better deal. Hang in there, Sappy!

You can pick your friends, but the banshees just impose themselves ;)

Oh yes, I've done my cubicle time too. I am very lucky to have a door. Too bad it doesn't have a lock too. And soundproofing. They get a bit annoyed when I use it though. Not my fault they're a bunch of screamin banshees! ; )

You have an office DOOR? You lucky duck...I'm either stuck in with a bunch of cube mates, or else working in a big open area with loud, smelly men...

But after your description of the shrieking whiners, I'm thinking maybe I'm the one with the better deal... ;)

Ah a voice of sanity and good humor, thanks EG.
I'm the only one drinking coffee and I MUST have caffeine. I'm going to shut my office door and turn up the music in a few minutes, and take some aspirin.

Damn that man! If Russell would stop throwing phones and breaking them he wouldn't be out of touch now. When I get a hold of him.....

Oh, sorry Sappy. That can't be fun. :/

Maybe replace the coffee with decaf? Dunno...but I do know that Russel isn't answering his phone right now...

Or maybe headphones? That's what I do when I have to program and I need to drown out the background noise.
