So True

When I was growing up, I was very trusting of what I was told by people around me. I thought if a person tells me something, it is the truth. And if the truth would come out, I would find excuses for that person - he didn't remember, or he made a mistake, etc.
When I grew older, I began to understand that some people tend to lie for one reason or another. But still trusted whatever I was told and promises I was made.
In university, a friend of mine once said, that she doesn't care whatever someone tells her, its what that person does is important. And I started thinking about her words and realized how right she is.
So since then I started learning to see past the words and pay more attention to actions.

Actions really do speak louder than words.
