This Is Attributed to Marilyn Monroe

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no-one but yourself, and sometimes things fall apart so that better things can fall together."

I'm not sure about the "trusting no-one but yourself" bit, but the rest seem like good words to live by. Some people seem to think the idea of everything happening for a reason somehow takes away free will and choice. I just think it means you can learn from every experience, even the bad ones.

that makes 3 of us then I believe everything happens for a reason and that we learn from our experiences good and bad "Things get bad before they get better' & "to live is to suffer to survive is to find the meaning in the suffering" are 2 sayings I have learned to live by.

We do indeed. I like "all is as it should be" too. :)

I too believe everything happens for a reason.<br />
