Family Is Not Only Important, But Also Vital...

I always thought so too, but, family can hurt you more deeply than anyone else. My family were also my best friends.... I loved being with them and doing nice things for all of them, cooking lots of good things for parties, throwing parties and celebrations, bending over backwards to make their lives pleasant and fun. Then one day, I found myself (no doing of my own) on the outside so profoundly and desperately hurt that I sought professional counseling and started taking St. John's Wort. Never in my 57 years had I ever talked to a counselor or taken anti-depressants... even when my infant son died in his crib of SIDS. This experience was second only to that death experience. It's been over a year since this devastating experience and even when I had open heart surgery, I did not trust or want any of these people near me. I still take St. John's Wort and work hard every day to be the happy, positive, pleasant person that I am.
