They Are My Everything.

My family is my everything. I come from a cultural and ethnic background where we are taught this at a very young age. I come from a Polynesian decent line and for us Polynesians we must help out our family no matter what. This is not limited only to immediate family. For me, my older sister has four children. Her first child was born 8 years ago when I was in 7th grade. I helped raise all her children including the youngest child now who I consider more of my child since she lives with me. I help watch my baby cousins, my older cousins' children and so on. When a family member is in need of money, we must give them whatever we can, even if it means giving them money from the rent money. It sounds like a hassle and sometimes it is, but I rather be in this type of situation where all of us are so close to each other than to be in a family where we're not close to each other at all.
