My Dad Taught Me

My Dad showed me that real men are gentle and caring. I owe my supportive and caring nature to my Dad.
The ***** donor that helped my mother create me used to feed me a lot of crap about what was expected from men. He would tell me that men don't cry, that men don't ever need to be held or hugged. He would say that real men don't show pain. He fed me a lot of crap about how men need to be strong and tough at all times. He said that men that were gentle or soft were weak. He was so far from wrong that I think he wasn't even human much less a man.
My real Dad taught me how a man really should be. Real men are supportive, respectful, caring, and not afraid to show their emotions. Now I do believe that they should take care of their families, but that doesn't mean disregard their partner. A real man always shows respect and compassion to others. This is the man that I will always be.

"Real men are supportive, respectful, caring, and not afraid to show their emotions." You said it! Amen to that! :)
I'm tired of people complaining to me that my 6 year son is too sensitive. He's one of the sweetest, most loving children in the world, and nothing but a ray of sunshine in my life. :)
