I Believe In An Emotional Connection
Since she wasn't a big drinker...she felt a bit flushed from the red wine they had been drinking throughout dinner...and she looked at Clayton and said...”Let's check out the deck.” Clayton smiled because he knew how his Strawberry Angel loved the water...so he had known that it was only a matter a time before they ventured outside into the moonlight.
At first...Clayton and Anita simply enjoyed being wrapped up in each other's arms...while they got lost in the magic of the moonlight and the stars...and while they gazed out at the nighttime water.
After a few moments...a romantic song started playing in the background...and Clayton leaned down and whispered into Anita's ear...”May I have this dance my Strawberry Angel?”
Anita leaned back and looked into his brilliant blue eyes and smiled. This was all the cue he needed...as words were unnecessary at this point in time. And when they started dancing to the beautiful song...they both got lost in the magic of the moment.
Anita felt so connected to Clayton...that her heart swelled up with so many emotions...and she could almost swear that she fell in love with him all over again...simply by the way they were so connected to one another during this space in time.
And as they continued their slow dance...their eyes never strayed from each other even once...because this wasn't just a dance between their bodies...but it was dance between their souls...and they both reveled in the magnificent moment as it magically unfolded before them.
And because they were both so lost in each other...neither one of them noticed when the music had stopped...and their “soul dance” continued for a few minutes longer...as neither one wanted to break the magic that was happening between them.
And because they were the only ones out on the deck...it was like they were in their only little world. And Clayton simply couldn't take his eyes off his Strawberry Angel. When he looked at her...it was like he was looking at a one-of-a-kind piece of art...and he found himself spellbound by every ex
After a few minutes...Anita started giggling and squirming under the intensity of Clayton's gaze...and she ducked her head...and broke their eye contact...as her cheeks promptly became rosy red.
Clayton chuckled and said...”Gawd...I love that you blush.”
Anita giggled and said...”I don't.”
He then gently cupped her face in his hands and said...”I love everything about you. Don't ever change one thing...because you're perfect the way you are.”
Anita laughed and said with great amusement...”I'm perfectly imperfect.”
Clayton winked playfully at Anita and grinned that grin that always made her heart skip a beat and said...”Exactly.”
And they quickly found themselves lost again in the magic of their amazing connection...simply enjoying the company of each other.
Anita eventually broke their silence and asked...”So...do you want to dance with me for the rest of your life?”
Clayton embraced Anita sweetly and whispered into her ear...”You are such a silly Angel if you have to ask that question.”
Anita smiled the biggest smile ever...and hugged Clayton even tighter. She quickly realized that there was nowhere else in the world she would rather be at that particular moment in time...because she knew without a doubt that this was exactly where she was suppose to be at that moment.
Anita reached up to push some strawberry strands off her cheek...and she caught a glimpse of the ring that Clayton had given her a while ago...and she smiled.
Clayton broke Anita's train of thought and asked..”What are you thinking?”
Anita said softly...”I love our rings. You did good when you picked them out.”
Clayton whispered back...”I love them too. Especially yours...and the way it looks on your hand.”
Anita giggled at his remark and said...”I have fat fingers!”
Clayton immediately laughed and asked...”Why do you say that?”
Anita continued to giggle and said...”Because...when I do a lot of work sometimes...I think my fingers swell a little bit.”
Clayton continued smiling at Anita...and gently brought her hand up to his lips. He sweetly kissed her fingers and said...”I think your fingers are perfect just the way they are.”
She giggled once again and said cheekily...”Well...you're entitled to your opinion.”
And with that remark...they both started laughing at the silliness of the moment.
Anita eventually held her hand up...with her palm facing out towards Clayton. He immediately mirrored her movement...by placing his palm against her palm. Anita proceeded to really study his hand...comparing it to her own...and taking in the differences between them.
Clayton got tickled at her and asked...”What are you looking at?”
Anita answered without taking her eyes off his hand...”I'm just looking at how your hand is different from mine.”
Clayton chuckled at his Strawberry Angel and said...”You're silly.”
And Anita responded in a goofy tone...”I am. I'm a silly dilly.” Anita giggled and said...”I love your hands.”
Clayton laughed and said...”Oh yeah.”
Anita smiled at him and said...”Yeah. I love the way your ring looks on your hand.”
They both continued smiling at one another and after a moment...Clayton laced his fingers with Anita's fingers and said...”I love the way your fingers fit so perfectly with my fingers when we hold hands.”
Anita smiled at Clayton...as he leaned down and kissed her hand once again. In the next moment...she shivered involuntarily in the nighttime air...as the temperature had dropped some since they had first ventured out onto the deck.
Clayton whispered...”I think my Strawberry Angel is getting chilly out here.”
Anita admitted softly...”A little bit.”
Clayton said...”Then we should go inside.”
Anita quickly answered...”I don't want to.”...because she wasn't ready to let go of their magical moment just yet.
Clayton laughed at her stubbornness and asked...”You don't? Aren't you cold?”
Anita admitted again...”I am...but you can just wrap your arms around me...and I'll be okay.”
Clayton smiled...and did just that...and they found themselves swaying to their own music...as there was no music currently playing...but the song they were moving to now wasn't a song that just anyone could hear. It was the song that their souls shared with one another...and they were the only two people that could hear this particular song...and they were in perfect tune with one another...because that's how it is when you're with the right person.
And as they continued to move with one another...Clayton turned his face into his Strawberry Angel's strands...and he breathed her sweet scent in...knowing that he was truly in heaven...and he was blessed with his very own angel...and he knew that made him a very lucky man indeed.
