People Are People

If there's one thing I've learned in my travels and experiences....it's that people are the same all over the world. We're all human beings. We have the same rights and needs. I don't have to agree with or even want to be around certain people; but I can NEVER hold myself as superior. We all deserve the same opportunity and reciprocation. Gender, race, sexual orientation, geography, political affiliation, religion...it's all people just like you doing different things. What those people choose to do to each other obviously changes one's relation to them, but all things being equal, we're all equal. : )

Well i have always embraced and marveled at diversity, never thought i was better than anyone, or thought anyone was better than me (not being conceited) just always did my own thing, try not to judge right off the back, i realize people are people like you said just doing different things, and more over trying to simply survive, but i love to see how different cultures live, and on my travels have seen that they pretty much do the same/similar things just in different ways and that's great to see, but yes people are just people, sometimes when we are connected to others we either become better people or not.

Very well said :)

You couldn't say it any better. That was beautiful. No matter what color we are, white, black, yellow, orange, etc., or short, fat, tall, thin. We are all the same & we all need to be treated equally, especiallly in this world today.

Wrong, people do all deserve equal freedoms but every individual is different, and believe it or not treating others as you would like to be treated is not always the best thing to do. I treat all strangers as equals, but when I get to known a person I treat them as an individual, I am sure that no two people hold exactly the same views on everything, and as for the sheep who follow others opinions without questioning them, they simply have weak personalities.

Okay. You overthought that and filled in your own blanks but that's cool. You're still equally important. ; )

Sometimes thinking to much is bad, sometimes I wish I’d taken the blue pill!

Indeed, God created us all and only He has the right to an opinion of each of us...and He loves each and everyone of us...we are all so uniquely and wonderfully made...thanks! Peace

So proud of all of you ... perhaps there is a glimmer of hope for the world ... = )

Jack Johnson said in his song "Times Like These" that there will always be boys and girls, loving and fighting, peace and war, religion and inequality, etc. In the end he says, "Somehow I know it'll never be the same."<br />

I totally agree with you. Having lived a large part of my life in a foreign country, I think that everyone should have a similar experience just to understand the truth that you explained here.

I agree with everything you said. I use to be so narrow minded and think that if people didn't think like me and dress like our group in the Church well...... the sad thing is I thought I was right. But I thank God I have seen the light and the way he wants me to see his people and his world. I mix with people of different faiths and we have interesting conversations about it. I see the world actually through new eyes and just love people. I accept people for who they are and what they are and their sexual orientation really is their own business and doesn't fase me.

I was the same way until I got out of my bubble and actually spent time in cultures I previously had a negative prejudicial view of. Contests on breaking the cycle

Congrats I mean
