I used to be, in my very naiive young days, a feminist.  However I do not approve of this any longer as my desire was equality- nothing more- I don't believe women are better than men or men are better than women.

I work in countries that are underdeveloped and I work within the field of Human Rights.  I have done nothing special to warrant my birth into a situation that means that I do not want for anything- food, education or shelter.  Instead of being thankful, people use this as a reason to look down upon others.

I could have just as easily been born into an underdeveloped nation with no food or future.  I could just easily have been born on the other side of the world.  I could just easily have been born a man- it was through no actions of my own that led to the circumstances of my birth.

What in effect, I am trying to say, is why discriminate upon natural factors of life.  We are all human.

One thing that gets me is the world 'racial' and term 'race discrimination'- there is only one race- it is the human race of which we are all part of.  Even in politicians coming up with this term to try and describe discriminiation they are setting up differentiation of our large unity of the human race.
