Things That Go Bump In The Night

This particular event happened on Nov. 22, 2011.

My husband and I had just arrived back home from a 4 day trip. He was in the office that is attached to the bedroom. I was on the bed resting. Suddenly there was a banging sound from the bedroom door, I ignored it thinking it was one of the dogs scratching and hitting the door. It happened again and my husband asked who was knocking on the bedroom door I replied that it was the dogs but I got up and looked and all 3 dogs were just standing back staring at the door. The banging happened once more and I opened it and no one was there. I turned and went directly out the front door and no one was outside or in the yard.

 

This was when things got weird...

My husband came to bed and I went into the kitchen to get a drink I was on the phone talking to a friend. When I left the kitchen I walked through the dining area and looked back as I realized I had not turned out the kitchen light.

 

There was a solid white male figure leaning against the door frame. He was just standing there looking at me. I told my friend that I was looking at a full bodied apparition and just when I said it he just faded out. I made myself go and turn off the light then headed out of the room and I felt and heard something thrown. I did not stop to find out what it was. 

I got back to my room and I told my friend on the phone that I needed to go back to the bathroom and I really did not want to go back into that part of the house. 

 

This is odd behavior from me as I am used to strange things happening around here but I am very familiar with our regulars but this was someone that I did not recognize and the way he was staring at me unnerved me.

 

Anyway on with this story...

I tried to get my German Shepard and my rottweiler to come with me and they both stepped into the hall and looked toward the bathroom and said NOPE NOT GOING...

OK very strange behavior from my dogs. 

 

My friend told me just to take the phone with me and talk to her and I would not be alone...

OK sounds good in theory! So I ran to the bathroom and had just sat down when the banging began on the wall behind me. It was loud and was coming through the dining room wall.

Needless to say I got the hell out of there and did not leave my room for the rest of the night.
