I Believe In Ghosts
I saw him many times before I moved from my childhood apartment, I spent 16 year of my life there, I saw him many times but in different ways. the first time I saw him was the most real I seen him. sometimes when I would open my bedroom door I would see this large flash of a very bright neon blue disappear just as I would open or a large shadow would charge me and fly past me. little balls of light out of the corner of my eye would appear and would only go away when I looked at them. The feeling of being watched as I slept would be an everyday reality and I don't miss it. The first time I saw him was the scariest. I woke up falling back first and flopping up in a sitting position on the top bunk of the bunk bed that I shared with my little brother I don't remember this as it was happening but I do when I look back, It happened too fast, But I do remember being so close to my ceiling that I could see the lumps in the the paint of my ceiling, I don't like to think about how that was possible. I was pretty scared, my bunk bed was really high and I thought I was going to be hurt so I was trying to catch my breath as I noticed him out the corner of my eye. He was just standing completely motionless in my doorway. He had a face but a blurred face, you could see where detail would be but not actual features, just shadows and mush, his clothes were as plain as day though, jeans and a button down shirt not unlike a baseball jersey, he looked as if he was hispanic or maybe black. That doorway was the only escape and I my first thought was that he was a burglar. I saw a hand silently grab on to ledge of the bed one finger at a time as if it was toying with me. The hand freaked me out worse, it was completely black no shading, just black, it didn't look like something that could exist. It was then I started piecing things together that maybe what I looking at wasn't human. I screamed "Robbers!!!" the hand quickly pulled away, I thought I was going to die, two things, whatever they were, were in my room. I did what every child has done when they get scared in the night and I hid under my blanket. As soon as my eyes closed and opened, it was morning and the night was over in a second. I made a check to see anything was missing or if anyone had been bludgeoned to death by whatever had visited us and everything was fine. I never slept with the door open again, it cut down on his visits.
