I Do But...

I do believe in God. Really a lot. I pray and all. I feel touched.

But I neither believe in the church nor I have a specific love for Jesus. Am I a bad Catholic? Definitely... I hope he still loves me.

Regarding the proposed definition, we of course can develop all kinds of definitions but is it logical, does it agree with the bible, that, is of course another thing. In fact, you do not need any new definition to arrive at somilar conclusions. Are we our brother's keepers? Of course we are. And so we are expected to help each other. Of course you are not God. But you are one of his children.

Babydaveytz,
You state that i confuse you but you never stated about you were confused about? Hm... Kind of hard to reply to or clarify. It really is very simple. God, and his son Jesus Christ love unconditionally. It is not depending upon you or your actions or what you think about them. There are no conditions. They just love you. So whether you have love or no love for Jesus or whether you are a Catholic or atheist it makes no difference. God and Jesus still love you.

Yes,I get this much. Its The Mormon Church that confuses Me.Im not knocking it.Ive known quite a few,and found them to be good people.

Pray if it makes you feel better. But I'd like to propose a definition of a God that is not limited to what the church has taught us.

The concept is simple...YOU are God.  I am God.  In fact there is nothing that is not God. God is all.  If everything that is, is God then we are all ONE.  To help one another is to help ourselves.  With the acceptance of these truths we are evolving.  Be the change you wish to see in the world.  The universe knows no shortage of anything. Open yourself and the universe will provide.  It has no choice.  Accept that every emotion you experience is based in Love or Fear and always choose to love. When you experience negative energy...STOP! Ask yourself where is ths coming from? If you find it is fear, close your eyes, take a deep breath and feel how good it is to just breath in clean, fresh, life enabling air.  To just be alive.  Let it fill you, as you exhale the life giving air... Smile, and let LOVE fill you and KNOW you ARE GOD. Know this and you will know that you are never alone. We are all ONE. To help someone is to help yourself. When you decide to live this way you can never be unhappy because you know who YOU are.  YOU are GOD and God is experiencing through you. We all some how know this...we have just forgotten who we really are! Remember yourself and then seek to remind those that wish to hear and those that wish to see who they are and in so doing we become one again. We become love for God is love pure and simple. So, pray if it gives you strength but realize you are the power behind the prayer.

ok

Being an avid outdoor person,I agree, and disagree with You.Indeed when I am out in the wild,I see God every where and Am often reminded of the old Gospel,"In The Garden".Do I belive that You and I are God? Well, that would explain a lot of the evil that mankind is capable of!

I believe that Carl Jung said it best, "The only evil that exists in the world, exists in the mind of man". I think that is very true. The problem is mankind does not believe we are good. We are told we are sinners and have come short of the glory of god. Generation after generation believes we are evil at our core and that we are all born of sin. If we were all to believe we are all ONE, if we were all to truly believe that to hurt one it to hurt all, then I do not believe there would be evil left in the world. The evil comes from fear. Fear of dieing, fear of going to hell, fear of each other, fear of not having enough. Fear. Fear is the root of all evil. If we were all to realize the voice in our head is simply a thought and not what is "real", if we all knew that at our essence we are the creator, then there would be no evil in the world.

Jesus is a part of God. There is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. They all have different characteristics, but they are all ONE. If you study more about Jesus and why his life, death and resurrection was so important to us, then you will come to love him as well. Jesus and the Holy Spirit were also present when the earth was created. God said "Let US make man in OUR image." God is speaking to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. So knowing that Jesus is part of God, there should be some curiosity in wanting to learn to love him too.

God and Jesus loves you period. It has nothing to do with how you feel about them. For us humans difficult to understand because we put so many conditions on everything. Personally I love Jesus deeply as he did the atonement for us humans. He died and was resurrected for our sins. Don't really understand how that works, but I know that he did it. Just a feeling you know.

Personally I don't believe the catholic religion, it is very confusing to me. I am a Mormon (LDS) and everything is a lot crearer. You might want to give them a call.

You confuse Me.
