Born And Raised

You know, I was born and raised catholic, baptized, communion , confirmed and married. I truly believe in God, but I don't believe in buildings, I don't believe you need an intermediary to talk with God. And for the life of me I don't understand the idea of Jesus. I'm not being disrespectful or making fun of Christianity, I actually believe that it would be very comforting to have those convictions. I know people who are sure of these things and find great comfort in their salvation.
But for me there is only god, he is Christian, Bu dist, Muslim and Hindu. He doesn't hate anyone and he does not play favorites. He doesn't hate gays or ask anyone to kill in his name. I see him everywhere, from a blue sky with clouds to snow on the mountains. I talk to him all day long, but don't worry I don't hear voices answering me. You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime you just might find you get what you need. I trust that he watches out for me. I've had too many close calls not to believe somebody does. And I pray, I never ask for myself, I ask him to watch over my family, to be there for someone I know is in pain, and occasionally I hint about the lottery but never ask directly. And he definitely has a sense of humor when it comes to my attempts at greatness. I guess thats all I wanted to say on the subject. Hope this isn't too long.

God isn't contained within the four walls of any building. I have no doubt God is there for you. God has a plan to get this world back to the garden he intended it to be, and to remove all evil, and have His people reign over His Kingdom with Him. There is only one God and only one way to be included in God's plan. The other 'gods' are just a smoke screen. Jesus took the place of the old blood sacrifices of the Jewish people, and became the 'once for all' sacrifice that blotted out every sin, for all of us now, not just the Jewish people, but we must acknowledge Him as our saviour, or we're still in our sins. You just don't get to God any other way. Not Islam, Hindu, none of them. I look at the Jesus that denominations promote and it's no surprise that people come away thinking what's the point to all this. The real Jesus is very different.

The problem with Catholicism is the teaching and indoctrination that salvation is found only in sacraments etc, Catholics know next to nothing about the Bible thay are happy to have everything pre-digested by others and swallow everything hook line and sinker.
Jesus made a profound statement that mankind must repent and turn to God for forgiveness of sin, and experience the new birth, only those born of the spirit are truly saved.
