Why Me Lord? Because You Are Special!

An on going question that I often hear around me. When something goes wrong , Why me Lord?

When I'm going through difficult time, I immediately feel special in the eyes of God. He chose me to suffer with Him because I can accept it .

When my grandmother died, she asked for me and said: "Little One, there is no need to cry because I am going back to my creator and the pain you are going through now is only temporary and there is no need to be bitter about it. Thank God for the wonderful memories we shared!"... Right after these words, my grandma died!

While growing up, I've had so many pain that I always brought everything to God instead of talking about it. Then in my own ways I discovered that, God uses us sometimes so we can be of good examples to others.

God turned my tears into joy; for every questions, he gave answers; for every rain, he gave me hope for a new beginning; for every pain, he gave me strength so I can move on; for every darkness He showed me the light at the end of every tunnel; for every reason I have to complain about God, He gave me silence so I can know Him better.

God is with us. He is around us. You can feel Him in your heart even if you don't let Him in, He is there waiting for you.

From Philippians 3:10, "the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings". I believe one of the eternal benefits of suffering is it increases our fellowship with Jesus... we "understand" a bigger and bigger piece of what He suffered, the more we suffer.

Lovely.. God is good all the time, all the time God is good..

So Jesus rules over us because he suffered for us. Allot of men and women suffer for us everyday. There was one Jesus not 7 billion of him. Not even including the people that lived before him. Sorry if I don't think your god loves people because ita love me or burn

Well good to no that your god well make you suffer because he wants you too.

1 Peter 4:1-2 (NIV) Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.

Amen :)

"He chose me to suffer with Him" ...my God!

If you loved Him, You would be glad.

i havent rejected, i welcomed him cryed for him and i got shot down i well belive him when i see him

I really can't see God "shooting anyone down". And if you wait till you see him it will be too late.

i tryed to open my heart. But in my heart i know god hates me, i cant belive in him simply because of the way he is described. why would a all knowing god purpously make you suffer isnt that the devils job? but i wish i could be blind but, cant i open my heart i say welcome.

If you can't accept Him according to His word, & His spirit, you won't be accepting him.

wow, it's really beautiful to see you have such a strong belief... i wished i had that..

I have some friends telling me that too.. but how? it's pretty difficult..

I used to feel as you do. Now I struggle with that. I have been through so much, I fight to survie and with gods help, I am still here and productive.
I mean how much can I endure? I go to church, I pray, I have spoken and prayed with my pastor.

I have done all I can to raise my family while my husband worked odd hours. I took them to church, school, sports and so on. He wasn't there, now his schedule is changed. He goes to church and reads and reads and wants to be more Christian, the more he does the more I get mad because he is becoming less of a husband.

Maybe you should read the bible with him!!

He will not put on you more than you can endure.

Oh wow, I love yo gran already...I think God must have a special place for such amazing women!!! My gran taught me to pray...that woman, she prays...u know even frm silly conversations, people and stuff that she sees. Even tho she has never been on an aeroplane, she prays for the people using them...I would love to be an amazing grandmomma some day (my son just turned 6 in Dec:-)
When I reflect on the mystery of the cross, I wonder what went thru Christ' mind afta he uttered 'Lord, Lord, why have u forsaken me'...I hope to ask Him some day. The inspiring thing is that Jesus carried on even when He wasn't 'feeling' the presence of God.

There's a beautiful song "Gethsemane" that places us in the Garden with Jesus. It moves me to tears

It seems that you find your gran slightly on the funny side :) and as far as what Christ thought after those famous words, I feel since He and the Father are one, that He both knew what was fixing to happen, and was prepared for the rejection.

very good thanks

Best I've read... Thank You for sharing

Beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing :)

:) ♥♥♥ thanks for sharing!

Just one of the reasons that God allows us to go thru difficulties is for spiritual growth. He always wants us to grow in virtue. For example, He wants us to grow in faith, love, hope, purity, fortitude, wisdom, trust, etc, etc, etc. One of the fastest ways to grow in virtue is thru trials and sufferings. Trials and sufferings make us grow spiritually. It isn't the only way, but it is one of the fastest and most effective ways. Not everyone grows spiritually in sufferings. Some people go backward. But, if we remember that we are supposed to grow spiritually, then the sufferings are easier to understand.

Wow here i was suffering this morning because one more time i chose poorly in a relationship that broke my heart,n then i read this!:) thank you lord 4 finding me

You, my friend, inspire me. I've always known that there is always a reason for everything and that reason is to glorify the Lord! Your grandma was one Godly woman and she knew where she was going after this life.

As Jesus was walking along, He saw a man who had been born blind. His disciples asked Him, “Teacher, whose sin caused him to be born blind? Was it his own or his parents' sin?” Jesus answered, “His blindness has nothing to do with his sins or his parents' sins. He is blind so that God's power might be seen at work in him." - John 9:1-3

How awesome is this? God chooses us to reveal His power to others!

beautful very beautiful

"for every darkness He showed me the light"
beautifully written =) many thanx to U!!
..thank you Allah..

indeed,,we all share humanity Y.Y.Y
thanks for your reply,,,Allah bless us all =)

But we must be aware that God is not Allah, and Allah is not God.

and He gave me joy when I least expected it! Yes! TEARS of joy...it just flow and flow ...A grown grey hair man weeping tears of joy, just because he love Jesus...sob! sob!

So beautiful, I love it!!

Today we all live within a world of many words spoken, but its only when we can look deeply into what our Lord actually speaks through obedience while leaving words behind that we can begin to see actual truth as written. If all sound good words believers speak were true, why would God speak so many words in so many verses out of His 31,240 that believers do not want to hear nor believe?

God placed in deep into the hardships of life over six years ago only to see this world of beliefs and religions in the same way that He sees; and from here I could just spend the next twelve hours writing the words directly from our author of eternal salvation unto all those who obey Him with none, no, not one wanting truth -- so says God. Therefore brothers and sisters have been false just as Paul had to deal with while having no genuine love beyond words, no care, no obedience and just an overflow from their tongue.

Its only when people can examine themselves through only the words of our Lord that they will see truth while totally getting shed of all the man made religions, beliefs, traditions and everything worldly because they can even enter God's spiritual realm.

You wanted a comment littledove, and I can love you as our Lord -- even though Christ told me I would be hated because I am not one of the religious people of this world. John 15:19

Truth is not smooth as all want to hear, but rough and difficult to handle. That is why there are the few and the many in Matthew 7:13-14

What makes you special is the fact God is with you in ways that give you a patience with acceptance of words 99.9% of others would not want to hear such as these following words from our Lord;

"The Lord looks down from heaven at us humans
to see if there are any who are wise,
any who worship him.
But they have all gone wrong;
they are all equally bad.
Not one of them does what is right,
not a single one. (Psalms 14:2-3)-(GNT)

"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalms 12:6

Stay well as your very special self my friend.

Yes, "God is with us". This is a really great post.
