-this is a lot of reading about me losing faith-

I've been calling myself a Christian for years and years but I think I've lost faith..

Each year more and more questions piled up, more and more unanswered prayers.

Where's my Holy Spirit? I've been baptized, I don't feel anything different.
I haven't had any experiences with Demons or Angels. No messages from God or Satan. No Adam and Eve moments.
Nothing.

God, if you just show yourself to me, my faith will be restored, why wouldn't you want us all to turn to you?

And how am I suppose to believe a book written by man? People lie, it's natural, we'll never know if God actually hates the stuff told in the bible.

Why should I pray when there's a possibility I'm praying to nothing in particular?

All these religions.. Is Christianity the "right" one?

Man.. Idk what to do.

Well said man, same spot.
Just feels like you're growing old and "Santa isn't real" all over

Exactly.. I feel like I'm being feared into religion..
Hell sounds scary, but why worry if its not even real

I just keep hoping for something real. Some experience through my own eyes so that I believe god exists and not a book full of bedtime stories.

I have a post about miracles where my sister gets saved.. Idk if its an angel or not, check that out.
But honestly, everything is questionable with religion AND science.

Ya I read that a while back.
Maybe it's just bigger than us, we seem to prioritise scientific explain over everything. I just like to know deep inside there is some superior power out there that's bigger than our understanding. Then again, might be a fairy tale.

Exactly.. If there is a God hopefully he understands our intentions are good but just filled with curiosity.

Ya, well said

Hello,
I'm not sure if this will answer your concern at all but hear me out.
As a scientist, many of my colleagues reject the idea of a 'god' in general. However, I myself being a microbiologist, can see that there has to be, there reallllllyyy has to be something or some purpose behind everything that happens. This is my reason: Our DNA is sculpted out of millions and billions of tiny tiny little chemicals... and our body...it has found away to create a living soul which can think, love, hate, smile, cry....
And at a molecular level...we are really...just 'chemicals'...but you see, it's abit like an ant trying to understand the reason and purpose of ..let's say Mandela... us even some of us humans cannot fully understand him....yet for an ant...it's impossible..
ALthough it may seem demeaning, I think the capacity of a human mind is too small understand the greatness of deity (just like how an ant cannot understand humans)...
Everything that happens will seem random and spontaneous in the instant...but trust me... sometimes... the only thing you can do is believe. And a few years down that road...the some small pieces of 'randomness' which seemed utterly useless in the instant... will fall together and form a huge mosaic of memories which we call life.

It's there....this Earth...which seems so crazy and big...is so so so so infinitesimally small ..it literally is a tiny spec in a never-ending universe...one which the human mind can only possibly understand after he leaves it...
Have a good day! :)

:) remember , prayer is merely conversation with God. Just take it easy, the fact that you want the Holy Spirit speaks for itself. I listen to praise and worship music . That helps a lot , lemme know if you would like some good music sources

""Where's my Holy Spirit? I've been baptized, I don't feel anything different.""

1) Why do you need to "feel" anything "Different"

""I haven't had any experiences with Demons or Angels. No messages from God or Satan. No Adam and Eve moments.
Nothing. ""

2) Why do you need experiences with demons or angels when the message you need to know is written in the New Testament in the Bible?

""God, if you just show yourself to me, my faith will be restored, why wouldn't you want us all to turn to you?""

3) Why do you need to see God?
John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

"""And how am I suppose to believe a book written by man? People lie, it's natural, we'll never know if God actually hates the stuff told in the bible."""

4) Well here is the core of the issue. Does one believe and trust in the gospel message. When it all boils down it is ones response to that message that saves one. Not experiences, visions and dreams..

All Praise The Ancient Of Days

All of the answers to these questions are in the Bible sweetheart. Take your time and read Gods word and Call on his name to lead you trough everyday He will be be ur guide forever

Read what I said about the bible

The Bible is the word of God. About 40 people wrote the Bible. If they were 40 liars then there would be many contradictions. There are none. If 40 liars wrote the Bible there would be many commandments...There are only ten. If all 40 were liars the well known folk tales would be repeated but they aren't. Coincidence?
Read and never, ever, let go of God He is always there even when you do not see Him. Don't look for the truth, your eyes are tricked by illusions. Don't listen for the truth, who knows who will whisper in your ear. Don't even THINK about the truth because you already know the truth. If you are looking for a sign... look at the comments.

The thing is that there are many contradictions. You look in depth and "facts" are contradicted. It started on the first page. Where lightand plants were created before the objects that emit light. Then the creation stories begin again.
The stories were recycled from old religions and you never looked into those.
There are 10 main commandments. There are others, they are just not commonly known but if you read the old testiment then they are peppered in there.
There are several religions and you disregard all the others. What makes yours special? If a Muslim came to your door telling you about the Quran, I already know you will deny that.
Nobody should blindly believe anything. If there is overwhelming evidence that points to an answer that wasn't known before.
Science adapts, religion really doesn't.

God said "let there be light" and there was light, it might not have specifically said that the light came from the sun but it also never said it didn't come from the sun... not a contradiction.
I don't care what other religions say because I don't believe in religion, I believe in God. Anyway, I'm not going to sit around and argue with you for three reasons.
1. I know you will never change your mind so why would I try to prove anything to you. I don't need to defend an almighty God.

2. This religion vs. atheist argument is never ending.

3. 2 Timothy 2:23-24 "Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful." I have to lead people to God not defend my ego. That's why I posted here because I saw someone losing faith and I wanted to help them.

The whole concept of religion is worshipping something. I can create a religion in which we worship the pencil. It all regards to the same thing: worship.
