I have not been to church since I was a young child. I do believe in God! I do read The Word at home. I started a job and take my Bible to work to read when we have down time. I work with two females that are all about God and follow every Sunday. They are much more educated on the Bible than I am!!!! So, we have a little Bible study in our office and I ask questions. Before I excused myself from the room, I turned on the recorder on my phone so that I did not miss anything. Well the next day I played the recording and after I left the room, "A" started talking about me. "B" refused to chime in.
"A" made a comment that I'm not filled with the spirit and I don't really want the spirit in me. And I ask a lot of questions like I care when I really don't.
This hurt my feelings so bad! This is why I get aggravated with people esp people that claim to be Christians.

RuRu80, when you get a moment, take a look at this short article.... wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2013486#h=0:0-12:0. It answers from the bible ... "Is Any Religion Deserving of Trust."

Rumblingheart has a good point but the Bible says it better than anyone when it says in Ecclesiastes 7: 21, " .. Do not take to heart every word that people say; otherwise, you may hear your servant calling down evil on you; for you well know in your heart that many times you yourself have called down evil on others."

That's cool that you do a bible study at your office with your co-workers. 😊

Even though A shouldn't have talked behind your back, just forgive her, relieve yourself of the hurt in your heart. Even though people are/claim to be Christian, they are still people after all, and will do wrong. I believe that it is the genuine effort of doing right and staying on the path of God is what is truly accounted for.

For your next bible study, you should do a segment on judging others, maybe A will take the hint. Good luck.
