It Could Happen To You

I met my now husband on yahoo personals. It wasn’t easy. I definitely had to kiss a few frogs to get my prince and it was definitely worth it. You just have to be honest with yourselves. At first I made myself look great in black and white. I created my profile based on what I thought people wanted to hear and what I thought they would be interested in. I found that not only was I disappointed with the results but I was also attracting the same type of guys as I did before I created my profile. Finally, I said to myself, I will give it one more shot! No BS, I am what & who I am and if people don’t like it then it won’t work anyways. Instead of trying to make my profile look attractive to other people I was very blunt with what I wanted and what I was looking for. I thought for sure it was a lost cause but sure enough my prayers were answered and now I am happily married to my soul mate. We've been together for 5 years and got married almost a year ago. One thing I would say is when you are dating or looking for people on the net is take people at face value and with a grain of salt. People can tell you anything they want about who they are but it’s another to actually be able to keep up the game in person. Don’t automatically think everything they say is a lie, but definitely keep you head when it comes to red flags. I was constantly waiting for the other foot to drop with my guy and after a while I quit waiting and gave in to destiny.
