DON'T TAKE THE BAIT:

I am a Christian and I am not ashamed to say Jesus comes first in my life.
Life has been difficult during this last year, it has been my first year of a new marriage. Things have not been as I expected. She said she is a born again Christian too, but you would never know that from her behaviour.
So in an effort to try to make this struggling marriage work, I have decided to fall back upon the teachings of Jesus. This is my interpretation of how we are told to live, with a modern slant on it that fits my circumstances. Maybe some of this is suitable to you too?
When you are criticised unfairly, forgive and stay silent. Do not retaliate.
When someone makes you angry, do not show anger to them, instead, show love, forgiveness and pray for them.
If they agree to go somewhere with you, or do something with you and then change their mind, forgive them and instead of getting upset or angry about it, go and do it on your own anyway.
Jesus taught the right way to behave, we often do the opposite of what he taught and we wonder why life goes wrong, things don't work and we are unhappy.
Jesus did not react to provocation.

"But when the leading priests and the elders made their accusations against him, Jesus remained silent. 13“Don’t you hear all these charges they are bringing against you?” Pilate demanded. 14But Jesus made no response to any of the charges, much to the governor’s surprise."
