Firm Believer

I don't believe everyone has some kind of mythical karma meter, but I do believe the energy you put out into the world is the energy you receive. I need to improve myself in this aspect. I need to stop being so negative, and learn to keep a positive attitude. Because when you're negative and cynical, that mood rubs off of you and starts affecting the people around you. It's the same if you have a positive attitude. There's just something that's so radiant about positive people. They're fun to be around and just have such a positive aura that's not only fascinating, but contagious! I need to start spreading those positive vibes! I need to be the positive person I once was. When things aren't going right I need to pick myself up, and continue the fight.

I love that! You're so right. Don't try to hard to be positive though, nobody needs false smiles. Just be yourself! Instead of trying to be positive, just breathe and enjoy yourself. don't "try" to do anything. It's so cool that you're putting yourself on an evolutionary path. I'm in the same zone, finally remembering to enjoy myself and that I am the only one capable of making me happy.<br />

I love that. You know, don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think there's really anything to fight, I think it's more about giving in. Fighting for happiness and positivity seems fake to me....I think it's more about chilling out and being present in the moment. It's about being present enough to check in with yourself from time to time to figure out what you need to feel fulfilled right now. A walk? To look at art? To lay in the grass? To compliment someone's style? Whatever it is. <br />

I used to think it was about fighting, but I kinda ended up making it more difficult for myself. It's just bad language to use (I learned this from a therapist years ago): if you say I "NEED TO" do something or I "SHOULD" do something or I just have to keep "FIGHTING" and keep "TRYING", you're telling yourself that you aren't good enough now. <br />

The truth from where I'm standing is that you are perfectly perfect right now. Tell yourself that you want to do these things, not that you need to do them. Now I try to embrace both the dark and light sides of my personality and to not take myself that seriously. Just let it flow! Most of the negative stuff will evaporate almost immediately after you face it, and then you can put your intentions onto something more life promoting. What do you think?

Me too! I have to remember this all the time and I still slip into my negative ways. It's hard but I think it can be done.

When things go wrong, you need to be positive too. Everyone has bad experiences, and will last a long time until your Karma is changed.
