The Gray One.

I'm going to start off by saying that I normally don't believe in love at first sight or much anything else at first sight. But I do believe in a connection. An invisible interlocking chain that links when you meet someone for the first time.
I was at work and it was in the morning so the store was very slow not many customers. I being the awesome worker I am was going over our inventory making sure things were tidy when the door opened. I always greet the customers so as by recording I said "hello how are you today" they guy turned and gave me the absolute strangest look I'm sure I will ever see again. We stood there staring at each other for a long while. Then he snapped out of it and replied "oh you scared me" I laughed and apologized secretly feeling very strange inside. I walked back behind the counter stealing glances at him and not to my suprise our eyes locked once more in the mirror he was in front of. That feeling of our link connecting came rushing back and I knew he felt it too. It was such an overwhelming feeling I'm surprised no one else was affected. It went on like this for a little while as he tried on and tested different articles of clothes. Once he came by carrying a gray jacket and the same jacket in black. I'm not sure what overcame me but I turned to him and said gray definitely. He said "you think" and I said "i know" he stopped and put the black one back on the rack.
I didn't speak to him again but could feel his eyes on me.
Finally he checked out and someone got to the register before I had the chance. Too bad. He got a military discount so most likely he is a traveler and is gone forever.
This has never happened to me before. Was the most peculiar thing. Very enchanting. Like that of a movie or a tall tale. I bid him farewell wherever he is and maybe one day our paths will cross again.

Girl, Do Not let anyone tell you that love at first sight does not exist !! When I was 52 I met a lady on ,kind of, a blind date - we had spoken a lot on the phone. When we finally met we both knew at that moment we were in love. we married 6 mo's later and our love affair lasted for 15 yrs till she passed away.

Hmm the Gray one puts a smile on my face

I own belief is that " love " develops over time, with trust and affection.
I've experienced what you did, it's only ever happened once.. I acted on it, it was real, it was mutual and it turned into something crazy and uncontroled. But the timing was bad, she was already married and our romance caused more pain than pleasure, and I paid a high price for my sin.
It won't put me off from taking the chance again if I ever find that spark again. Assuming this time she's single
