How I yearn
To hear the secrets
The wind weaves
Thru the trees.
What makes leaves laugh
And sets grass swaying
At the knees.
"Wordsworth was right,"
The evergreens whispered,
"We have so very
Much to share.
But remember secrets
Are only secrets
When you are unaware."
"Come out of your
Worldly maelstrom,"
The November clouds
Echoed quietly.
"Let us caress your face
With shadows,
And teach you
"There's music in stillness,"
The fallen leaves conveyed,
"But when secrets are remembered,
An ancient tune gets played."
"Thoughts gently
Tumble in your mind...
Much like we do
With the autumn wind behind."
"The most quiet of all secrets,"
They continued,
"Eludes you as you
Scramble here and there
For wealth.
You can hear it
Within God's breathing...
It's the secret
Of yourself."

The secret of yourself - I like that - thanks
