I am not a budhist, but I do believe that our souls experience many lifetimes and any and all experiences within those lives. I believ this happens so that our souls can evolve and we can become closer to god. My understanding of god is a limitless force that pulls us towards light and love by assisting us in these lifetimes with every experience imaginable. I believe that it all happens for a reason - even the bad and seemingly insignificant stuff. We take something from all of it. I hope that others begin to believe this too and move away from the dogma that causes so much hate, fear. But I know that it too is an experience we all must know.

I know that I'm an old soul and that this is my final mission, unless I change my mind, or I just might merge with the other self in the other dimension. which I believe we do if the other self wants to merge, it can be done if one dies from their world. This happened to me. Before I had a hysterectomy, my mind was noisy with many thought patterns but non very clear. after my operation, I experienced myself sitting on the edge of the bed when a priest and nun came in and then they saw me and their eyes became very wide. they took off in a hurry. Awhile later when I got up for a walk, I asked the nurses about them, and they said no one was in the room with me besides the lady in the other bed. I realized then that something exciting was happening. Everything was quiet in my head and I felt different. I knew I was different. It wasn't until a few years later that I knew I had switched places or merge with my other self and became the person I am today. Which I really like and love. Also everyone said I was instantly different after my operation which leads me to the conclusion that we have higher self's in different time zones and worlds.

The issue and purpose for rebirth is not learning but unlearning those things we believe about ourselves that are not true. What we do is not a reflection of who we are rather who we believe we are. In that vain when our actions have negative results it reflects or misperceptions about ourself. Then we might change our perspectives. It is a process of elimination much like the scientific process it doesn't tell us what is only what isn't. Dysfunction is the nature of matter and what it is used for reflect and reviel. It was supposed to act like a school but now has become goal displaced. It is like Egypt with a Pharoah that knew not Joseph and now will not let the people go.

There is only consciousness in the threw dimensional world we live in . Time is consciousness on a grand a scale and on ‘local personal time”. The impression that life exists as unconsciousness is a cultural illusion. You are either her or someplace (time-space) else. The best example is what we tell ourselves about the eight hours of sleep. Sleep is basically 8 solid hours of astral projection through a number of alternate parallel Earth (globe) lives. Entering sleep we become more or less conscious while preventing this from coming through to waking life. We are wiped clean on waking and moved around in sleep if we start becoming too aware of the dream or projection or the particular world we are in time wise. It all makes sense in a 24 hour Earth time zone way, because in the other eight hours there may be 5-10 or 100s of lives with their own time scale. Very confusing. [watch Slaughter House Five—K. Vonnegut—it’s close in many ways.]

Probably one angelic soul and one conscious soul work together as a human unit. When the Earth life becomes more highly organized with age the active pairs that constitute a human in bodily form are chosen to benefit all consciousness collectively with 1 or more different entities trading places and lives. Probably one in a 1,000 to 1 in 10,000 beings have never incarnated on Earth. This is what the Buddha meant by saying he remembered 500 lifetimes—opportunity for him to incarnate (if you can call it a him) was predicated on his innate capacity to teach mankind, for one example. There have been at least 200 lesser Buddhas and a dozen time avatars, including the Christ in Jesus the man. The take away is that there have not been enough humans on Earth prior to the last 50 years of your own life, to allow &.3 billion people to have reincarnated even based on an average life span of 30-35 years.

As you see the world correctly these beings rotate through your body as progressively more advanced components of your own human life…Commonly called the (personal) soul. Running out of space…Each of already has 3-5 of these alternating in our daily lives…3-5 different personas—each on a slightly different time-track than the best you that you are? Is this clear…I have to stop here—I’m so sorry. My advice party your brains out and the concept of global LOVE will grow in you faster than any other way…Life-consciousness should be like pleasure. Forget about guilt and sin and think of the 7.3 billion frequently. The truth is this...one size does not fit all. Every body's journey is different...just as your life here. No two are alike...you have already created one universe and it's the one you are in right now. Where you go after this life...I don't have any idea thats your life. Be good to each other and it will take care of itself. If you do figure it out it's your path and no one else's and enjoy it. My only hope is that the next life for me is a lot easier....on a lighter note ..i was drafted and not a volunteer...if it happened to you , you know what i mean :)

may i ask you - what is god? what is the difference between god and the universe ( i don't mean only the known universe)?

i ask, because i have a felt sense of "something"... but to describe that "something" using human language is to limit and diminish the greatness of that "something".

  There are only 2 great categories of life: the spiritual and the 5-senses or physical. The spiritual realm consists of only 2 parts: God's side & the devil's. On God's side are God, his children[(christians) and Jesus Christ, God's son by divine conception], and angels. On the devil's side are the devil, his children, and the devil's army of devil spirits. Its extremely simple.
  The universe is the physical realm that God created for the earth. God made the earth for man and God made man for himself. He wanted children that would love and glorify him. He, in turn, gives us eternal life and lots of good things.

  This is how we can get closer to God - getting born again of God's spirit and doing his will, which is his word.

  10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

  Obviously, there are thousands of other verses to read, but at least this is a start.

  hello again. am i right in understanding you to mean that jews, moslems, hindus, buddhists and those who live in areas with no contact with christianity (some still exist) are all children of the devil? also, i still see no difference between "god" and the presence of a sentient universe. for me, to commit such a greatness to the limitation of human language and concept is to diminished the greatness that willed itself into being and brought us into existence. respect, from robbie PS i forgot to mention that we even limit ourselves to the concept of "five senses" there are many more, one example is the sense of balance, in the physical and the sense of fair play, in the spiritual.

  Especially a lie fostered by converted though the treat of death church theologians by barbaric Roman emporors that wished to use the Christian religion for their own political ambitions. Then found it necessary to eliminate any aspect of individual accountability for salvation to delude themselves and others that if they only spoke words rather than change their hearts they would go to heaven.

  why then are so many "devout christians/catholics/mormons etc." not all loving and accepting? The pride in their hearts is one of the 7 so do not preach to me. I am not saying it is wrong to be what you are. I am just saying that many of the "most religious" are the farthest from the divine (god in your words). those in the most spiritual circles do not convert because that which you cannot find within you will never find without. look in your hearts and minds and souls and try not to infringe upon the free will that we have in the name of the divine. peace to you all BB

Yes I'm with you totally.... however the devil is in the details i guess...for example....

In the present course of my study into "this stuff" I'm undecided on role/application or not of linear time with respect to re-incarnation.

I.E I have read a lot which suggests that time itself becomes increasingly irrelevant at higher dimensional octaves... and so the question begs weather or not incarnation in successive lives in our world's linear time scale is the norm....

I know that some believe that we incarnate almost immediately....others say this is only the case with very advanced beings (as the desire to do otherwise is normally irresistible),, or that some decades would normally (physically) intervene corresponding to a period of time (of hundreds of years) spent on higher planes etc. before the soul again projects down into matter...

Others still say that not only it re-incarnation linear but that we are born astrologically into a position where by our charts would start where our death charts left off or that we would be born into a succession of signs (i.e going through each in turn etc)...

Still others say that we can incarnate into the past and future on successive lives.

I wonder what the truth actually is....

And also the prospect that certain people can tap into popular life memories of others by virtue of their interest or affinity with other departed souls.

I sometimes feel that time may be just a concept and I then doubt if time travel is actually possible as then time is then just a concept not a an actual force and the reason for time dilation with respect to dimensional levels would then be due to the rate of vibration increasing as one ascends or descends vibrationally.

But this can not be the whole truth as if god is a singularity (which is obvious) then all possible futures from this point on (encompassing all the free will decisions we could all make) would be present in potential in the infinite ocean of possibilities. Which suggests parallel universes (an infinite number) might exist... in which case time travel is then totally possible.

I'm simply not smart enough to wrap me head around the corners this line of thought is leading me LOL.

  hello armchairoccultist. thank you for posting this. i got lost in your clever words... yet they re-affirmed my lack of understanding - in a positive way, reminding me i have so much more to learn. my contribution - i have a felt sense that time is not linear and therefore reincarnation is also not linear (it may even be parallel... and that is a difficult concept for me). i struggle to understand, almost grasp it.... then collapse in a soggy heap with a brain made of overboiled cabbage leaves..... with respect, from robbie.

  Not really.But thinking of infinate possibilities will only confuse you. It's like trying to catch a bucket full of marbles someone throws at you. There is a place to start and it's at the simplest none linear concept.There is a foundational principle for existance and identity. It's as simple as one-two-three. Really! When you can comprehend that one and one can equal three then that the first step to understanding infinity.

  Reincarnation itself only carries the illusion of being non-linear. It is powered by the principles of matter and time. And both are linear. Reincarnation or is a coping mechanism and like other coping mechanisms has the potential to become selfperpetuating. Think time is sequential how much more linear can you get. Cause and effect are a reaction to imbalance much like gavity is. All aspects of the same forces that are a resulting reaction to imbalance. Again it goes back to one- two- three. Those that think linear can only comprehend one and two but not three. The third concept is what connects one and two-- beginning and end and the result is infinity.

I could not have worded it better myself, I have been lucky that I have been regressed 32 times, which was not all of my past lives, I was never anyone famous, but I know that I am a very old soul, I plan to complete my inner spirits mission and hopefully not come back. As I believe, we come to earth to evolve spiritually and it is the hardest place to face trials and hurdles, but we grow everytime we pass these trials. Sometimes I gain so much wisdom in a short period of time it is shocking and then as most I get caught up for a time in not knowing what I should do and I think the answer pretty much is to get out of my own way (my human conscious interference getting in the way) I am learning that when I try to work my human will, it doesnt satisfy like living the will of my spirit if I let her speak to me.

I agree with all of your comments, and the original post. I know that I myself have had several lives. According to some we can have several hundred. What I find the most interesting about all of this, is that souls are breaking their necks to get to Earth at this time, and to live on this planet at this time is considered a very high honor.

I believe you are very right. We do map out all things in our lives, ie, our family, children, life path, all these things before we are born. Its amazing to be finding ppl who shares similar beliefs as I do, though we have never met! Amazing how our world is so rapidly changing.

When we dapart from our bodies(die) the soul go'es to a place many people call heaven,its a place where we learn from our previous life(s) when we were here.

We then learn to be better,the soul doe's remember things that happened in you life,its like a film or dvd,the only difference is that its about your life that you just left.

When you are ready to come back( Reincarnated)You have already learned about the family that you are going to be born in,and that is why a lot of people know that they have been here before,myself included!

I don't believe in God(I used to go to Sunday School etc,But I Know that there is something more powerful that is guilding us.

The misuse of human ideas abaout god has caused far to much alienation, loss, hate and death!

You may be iterested in my writing titled "How Many Gods of Peace?" As a person who studied religion and history for years, and who planned at one time to be clergy, and then decidied instead to not join a religion, I tried to be faithful to what I know from carefully studied material.

Essentially, I ended up believing al that you said but reserve judgement about wether or not we recycyle in different lives.
