I Give Up Spreading Reason. It's Hopeless.

Welcome everyone. You all know me as an atheist and liberal. I have been trying to spread reason to this website. I'm failing. Theism will never go away. Even though material science won the war of the worldviews, religion is still here, and all of us will be long dead when and if it goes away. It probably will not. My professors are even religious believers. They are so stubborn, I can't even talk to them. If intellectuals can't be reasoned with, no one else can. For all you atheists, good luck. I wish you the best. No scientist ever has gotten rid of religion, and I certainly will not. I firmly believe in material science and the big bang, and will continue to accept these facts until I am dead. I am not quitting this website. I will just not talk about religion anymore. Religion is, as Albert Einstein said, "childish superstitions". But it comforts people and will never go away. No one can fully grasp death, except for us atheists. So for all of you theists, keep living with your childish illusions and superstitions. For the atheists, keep telling yourselves the facts and do not ever let anyone take them away or intimidate you.

There is no hope in Athiesm. What's the point? To squirm around on this rock for a few years and die, with no memory or sign or even a thought that you ever were.

To each his own, of course. If that is what you want to do, then go for it :) Merely pointing out why most people are so loath to let go of their faith.
