Even Just A Smile

The best thing for me these days is when my customers come see me and greet me with a hug and a smile. Although not all of them know about where my hearts been, just the gesture helps make my day a lot better. One day I will never forget, however, was a few weeks ago, I was sitting at Lovers Point on my favorite bench, with incontrollable tears. Several people walked by and didn't say anything, didn't even look towards me. I wasn't expecting it, I was there to be alone anyway. But I remember one man, probably in his late thirties, early forties, stopped and looked at me. I looked up at him and all he said was that everything was going to be alright. He smiled and walked off. His smile brought me warmth and somehow a feeling of contentment. I was able to dry my eyes and watch the ocean for a while, without the tears.

I am also sorry you were hurting and hope things are better for you now.<br />
I can also understand what you mean. A smile means so much. I get a lot of smiles from strangers and it always makes me feel special and cheers me up.

That's really a good story! Thanks for sharing this. It's good to know there are people who will stop and care. It's true, a smile makes a huge difference to brighten our days. So, when we give one or get one we instantly feel better. Matter of fact, when we smile it releases endorphin's in our bodies which is a feel good hormone or healing hormone. So, now you have been given a smile keep giving them away. I'm sorry you were hurting. I hope you are feeling better. Thanks again for sharing your story. I enjoyed reading it.
