I'm a Believer

I became a Christian in December of 2004 while stationed in Korea. What an awesome experience. I have witnessed the power of prayer personally. Sometimes I struggle with sharing every experience with God though. I am working on that.

Pray, believe and give thanks.
Doubt is your choice, and should be always left out of prayer.

A Preacher of God once said;
Lot's of prayer is lot's of power.
Little prayer is little power.
and no prayer is no power at all.
it is written:
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
"we have not because we ask not."
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
"Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
"For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. "Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight."
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord."
" But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."
" And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Sadly, the people who have not seen the power of prayer are dead. Tortured, drowned, shot, burnt, murdered - or just died of old age. I have little doubt that there were far more genuine prayers from exemplary and saved Christians unanswered than those which are answered.

What makes you so special that God favoured you with seeing the power of prayer, and yet denied giving the same experience to all the believers who have died or suffered?

I have also seen the power of prayer at work. I have witnessed miracles that were small and simple, yet I see them as big and significant. I agree that it's sometimes difficult to share every experience with God. But, that's all the process of growing.

Prayer big or small the same to God.

The Spirit sits, before all things, past, present and future.
Every word, every feeling and emotion, everything.
Share your life and what you feel that's on your mind, He knows already, but wants you to share and to have a personal relationship with you.

Maybe you should not share your experiences becasue sometimes sacred things should not be tossed out to be mocked.

I have not shared my most sacred experiences on this forum. I don't think i will

Mitch you are making examples of some peoples actions...please dont generalize all Christians into a particular group of people who claim to be something they may or may not be.

Jesus needs no reinventing...

I noticed your story similar to your post...and thats fine...there is room on Ep for every person and every opinion.

I just please ask that you are considerate in your comments....there are some very tender hearts around here....
If you want a debate....there is a major one going in the I believe in Prayer group. Feel free to join us...:)
