I saw you today, & you saw me.
We walked straight into each other at the end of an aisle in the shop down the road from my house. You carrying a litre of milk & a pat of butter, me with apples & sparkling water.
Apologising we weaved first left then right together as though dancing as we tried to pass. Both laughing as our eyes met, but in that moment, just for a moment the world stopped. My heart stopped. Everything... stopped.
I saw you. Same height, same build, same features... & those eyes.
