Marijuana Should Not Be Legal

I know that their are some student who attend college and high school(no pun intended) that do smoke marijuana, including adults who believe its "alright". I COMPLETLEY disagree with them. I for one, can not be around it due to a family history of drug abuse and I do not want to be another family member to become addicted. My roommate, who does smoke pot, does not believe it can lead to other, harder drugs. Even though marijuana is called a "Gate Way" Drug, everyday. To make things worse, I am currently looking for a job and if/when I do get employed, they may require a drug test. And since the marijuana that he smokes will be in my system, they will not be able to hire me. Is it my fault? No!

I think that the problem is that people are way too polarized about it. You have one side that thinks it's the greatest thing in the world and it will improve your life in every possible way, and the other side that thinks it is the spawn of Satan and will only flush your life down a toilet.

Common sense tells us that too much of anything is bad. But marijuana can be used safely and responsibly and people should have the right to make the decision of whether or not to use it for themselves.
