I Hate When People Say This.

Marriage is so much more than just a piece of paper and a ring.  It is such a shame that this entire world has gone down into the gutter.  No one wants to get, or stay, married anymore.  There is no sanctity in marriage these days.

    My boyfriend always tells me that marriage is just a piece of paper and i think the reason is because his dad cheated on his mom and they got divorced. so I think he only sees it as a piece of paper because hes afraid of what might happen if he does get married, what if he turns out like his dad? type of thing.

    Same here.



    I don't care much for those people who lose faith and blame it on the institution. Seems like the word introspection has slowly been forgotten.

    I know what you mean. I hate when I see people who are so negative about marriage. It isn't marriage that is the problem, it is who you marry and what you marry for that is the problem.

    I just plain do not understand that. I would do absolutely anything and everything to marry the woman I love...I don't get how anyone could feel any different :/
