Very Different

I was in my late teens before I even knew there was such a thing as miracle whip.  I grew up only using mayonaise.

I was at a friend's house and they used miracle whip.  Her mother made us something to eat and used miracle whip.  With the first bite I knew something was up.  When I asked about it and was told she used miracle whip instead of mayonaise I didn't know what to say.

When I got home I told my mom about the miracle whip.  She told me she had tried it once.  Opened the jar used it one time and threw it out.

To this day I have never purchased a jar of miracle whip and only use mayonaise.  I have also found that depending on what part of the country you are in there is more use of one over the other.

Has to be tuna....mayo....and dill relish...That is what makes the best tuna.....chopped celery for the crunch...and a chopped egg...Mmmmmm....Think I will go and make some tuna

i dont like miracle whip at all- only mayo!

Ewww I do not like Miracle Whip and that is the only "Mayonnaise like" thing my parents had in our home. Yuck yuck yuck! My dad still loves it and I buy it for him when it is on sale, but you are right, it is really not mayonnaise as you say. It has to be Duke's mayo light for me.
