I Have A Quote On My Profile...

...and while Anais Nin may not always be as profound as some like to think, she was bold for her time, and I like what this quote says:

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.

To me, that sums it up. Everyone you meet, no matter how insignificant - even my friends here on EP! - has an effect on you, and in turn, you affect them. I think that as we turn into a world governed by Facebook and Myspace, as the electronic era becomes our reality and we turn ourselves more toward the virtual, this concept becomes more and more important as the world shrinks from the comfort of our living rooms. It's not for us to know the 'why' at the time of the meeting; eventually we'll know the reason, even if it shows itself years from now. If everyone kept that in mind all the time I believe this world would be a vastly different place. On top of that, who on earth could ever have too many friends, no matter how small a niche they fill in your life? Everyone needs someone sometimes, right?

Correct, and the right time for me too. I am a new butterfly escaping its cocoon
