At the Time

He was what I needed at the time.  I believe people do come into our lives for a reason.  Sometimes the reasons are good and pure and other times not so pure.   People leave our lives at times and they seem to reenter when you need them most or maybe when they need you.  Case in point, him.  He dropped out my life years ago.  I never really gave it a second thought.  He got married and so did I.  I saw him once in a blue moon and that was enough for me.  But as stated before people do come into our lives for a reason.  After no contact what so ever for a year there we sat.  We were closer to each other across that table in that bar then we had been in close to ten years.   The words seem to flow until the next thing I know 3 hours had gone by.  Hell we could of stayed all night if I didn't have to get home.  We leaned on each other for a few months.  We were closer those few months then we were when we dated.  As the saying goes all good things must come to an end.  So as abruptly as he entered my life for the second time he left it.  Who knows ten years from now we might just bump into each other down memory lane.  And maybe then we will both have a good reason to stay in each others lives.
