I Believe Some Of The Best Friends Have Four Paws
This story was told to me by a friend who being a skeptic is still trying to this day to find a logical explanation.
She told me the story because she knows I have an open mind and because I too have told her of occurences which defy explanation.
She visited a cousin she had not seen for years, not since she was a teenager, that cousin turned out to be avaritious and mean spirited, feeding my friend the same cheap food everyday and only serving tap water at every meals,if my friend wanted something more she had to buy it herself, then they had a real ding dong when the cousin expected her to also pay for the petrol, yes she had sat next to her in the car but they only went where to cousin needed to go. One afternoon the cousin gave my friend a bag of stale bread and told her to go and feed some donkeys they had seen earlier in a paddock, but the donkeys were now in their stable and the cousin explained how to get there. My friend being fond of animals thought it was a good idea,it would take her out of the flat and away from her cousin for a while. She made her way to the stables as instructed, walking up a path and soon saw a stable with four donkeys in an enclosure,by now a black and white Border collie was following her,as she got near the stable she nearly fell over the dog who sat in front of her and would not let her go any further, she tried to sidestep the dog but the dog matched her step by step effectively blocking her way, then she noticed three horses in another enclosure and walked toward them, the dog remained where he was,she fed the bread to the horses and made her way back followed by the dog, then she heard a whistle, the dog took off,a man was coming down the path,my friend approached him and said "your dog would not let me near these donkeys" "Ho hum......te" "excuse me,I did not hear that clearly, can you please repeat it?" "THEY B.....Y WELL BITE!" and that said, the man resumed his walk with the dog at his heels.
